I set up my facebook on the app that came preinstalled on the motorola droid. I set it to give me special notifications when I get a facebook notification. The notifications don't appear to work as I've only been receiving emails from facebook but no notifications on phone. Anyone else having this issue? Is it a problem with the app or am I doing something wrong with setup?

Not sure about the Droid installed FB app, but I have seen with the main Android Facebook app, and the FB app on other platforms (like Blackberry) that device notifications only work reliably if the main email you've got set on the device is the same as the main email you've got set on your account on the Facebook website. Facebook does allow you to set up more than email in its account settings on the website (I have my work and home emails set on there, so people can find me easier with whichever email they know) but you have to pick one of them to be the main email. Check this is the same email as the Google account that you're logged into your phone with. |
