How can I enable the automatic screen rotation when you turn the device, like on the iPhone?

Go to Settings, Sound & Display, then check the Orientation box.

except that doesnt work for Home, Dialer, or Contacts. (Big bug IMHO) – mikeffi Feb 16 at 3:04
Maybe it depends on the device you're using, but it does work for Home for me (on a G1). I just checked and you're right, it doesn't work for Dialer or Contacts, but I literally had never tried to get a landscape view of either in the year and a half I've had the phone-- doesn't seem like a big deal. – Chuck Feb 16 at 3:37
